With its durability and variety of colors and textures, fabric is an extremely popular engraving material.
Here we'll walk you through the steps to create these stunning engraved placemats - sure to add style and flair to any table setting. This vector design can be resized to fit any area or use your own favorite pattern.
We used a 50-watt Helix with the following settings: 100% speed, 15% power, 200 dpi.
First, insert your placemat in the upper left hand corner of the machine. Next, open the file sc_placemat.cdr
Since there may be slight variances in the exact dimensions of each placemat, you'll want to use the Red Dot Pointer to ensure the design falls exactly in your desired location. Draw a vector box around the design and send ONLY the vector portion to the engraver - remember to keep the lid open!
Once you're satisfied with the location of your design, send the job to the laser and that's all there is to it!
We'll send you a brochure, as well as engraved and cut samples created with the laser.
